Following a spectacular lion dance lead by Master Boun Lee of the Australia Shaolin School, Alice
Dong, Chairperson of the NSW Chin Woo Athletic Association, delivered an opening speech on
behalf of the NSW Chin Woo Committee. Alice greatly appreciated all kung-fu schools and
individual wushu lovers for their overwhelming support for the event. She wished that a similar
performance event every year would be hold with more public participation in promoting the Chin
Woo spirit and traditional wushu culture, and for inspiring more people to take up wushu and taichi
to improve health and fitness.
Alice gratefully thanked Mabel Li for her tireless dedication to the development of NSW Chin
Woo Athletic association, and the event sponsors, in particular our honourable chairperson, Mr Ma
Dong-Pu, China Town Design & Print Dockets & Forms Pty Ltd, and Mr Jiang, CEO of C P
Blossom Trading Co. Alice also expressed thanks to all the Chinese newspapers and media for
their great support and advertisements for the NSW Chin Woo Athletic Association.
The performance consisted of 56 programs such as group Yang tai chi quan and sword, Chin Woo
tam-tui, Yau-Kung-Men power fist, Da Xiong School's hung-quan, basic wushu steps, Da-Yan qikung,
traditional wushu tao-lu, wing chun fist, seven star sword and hard qi-kung performance.

At the end of the show, the NSW Chin Woo has awarded a small Chin Woo flag and certificate for
the performance to representatives of each school and individual, as a small token of appreciation.
At the conclusion, Alice mentioned that there would be an event for the World Chin Woo
championships next year. All schools should recommend and encourage their best students to form
a Chin Woo Team for the championships. The Team could also enter the AKWF’s National Wushu
and Tai Chi Championships and be selected to represent in the Australian team in the World
Wushu Championships. We need to work together and support each other for the benefit of Wushu
development in Australia under the overall leadership of the AKWF.
The NSW Chin-Woo Athletic Association Committee wishes you:
Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year in 2012
