To the Ipoh Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association, Malaysia
We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of President Dato’ Ooi Foh Sing (Huang Baosheng), JP. All colleagues at the New South Wales Chin Woo Athletic Association of Australia express our profound grief and extend our deepest condolences!
Throughout his life, President Ooi upheld the Chin Woo spirit. For decades, he dedicated himself to the transmission and promotion of Chin Woo culture overseas, actively connecting with fellow Chin Woo members around the world. He devoted his entire life and spared no effort in advancing the Chin Woo cause and fostering martial arts cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world. His moral standing and broad-mindedness serve as an exemplary model for all of us in the Chin Woo community.
President Ooi was not only a highly respected Chin Woo leader but also a paragon of community service and charitable endeavors. Over the years, you made selfless contributions, cared for the people’s livelihood, and served the community, taking practical actions to give back to society and exhausting your efforts for public welfare and charity. Your sense of social responsibility and commitment, your passion and perseverance for public welfare, and your dedication and devotion to the Chin Woo cause are deeply admired by us and will long inspire future generations. The noble character and selfless spirit you demonstrated are truly worthy of emulation by posterity.
“Learn to be a good person before learning martial arts” is the fundamental truth you upheld throughout your life and earnestly taught to every Chin Woo member. Martial arts are not merely for physical fitness and honing skills, but even more so for cultivating moral character and serving society. Leading by example through your words and deeds, you made us deeply understand that Chin Woo members must not only strive to pass on Chinese martial arts but also promote the Chin Woo spirit. We must uphold the principles of patriotism, self-cultivation, justice, and helping others, caring for society, serving the public, and giving back with what we have learned, so that the torch of Chin Woo can be passed down from generation to generation and shine forever.
President Ooi, your virtuous deeds and exemplary teachings will be forever engraved in our hearts; your outstanding contributions to the Chin Woo cause, as well as your selfless dedication to social service and charity, will always be remembered and revered by us. What you have left behind is not only an invaluable spiritual legacy but also a lifelong mission that all Chin Woo members must undertake and steadfastly fulfill for generations to come.
The man has passed, but his noble demeanor endures; the torch of Chin Woo shall be passed down through the generations.
We hereby express our deepest condolences and extend our most sincere sympathies to the family of President Dato’ Ooi Foh Sing (Huang Baosheng) and all colleagues at Ipoh Chin Woo. We respectfully pray that you find comfort in your grief and take good care of yourselves.
Mournfully submitted by Alice Bei Dong, President, and all colleagues of the New South Wales Chin Woo Athletic Association of Australia
